With over 30 years experience in typesetting, design and layout, and over a decade in business as Biblichor Ltd, we produce high-end, bespoke titles for non-fiction and academic publishers and imprints.
Our long list of clients include Edinburgh University Press, Birlinn, John Donald, Society of Antiquaries of Scotland, Canongate, Verso and Dunedin Academic Press.
In addition to high-quality typesetting, we can design your book from the interior to the front cover and have vast experience of working on titles ranging from standard trade non-fiction to academic and art books of the highest complexity.

Publishing Services beyond design & typography
Artworking & reprographics
We use Adobe Photoshop to edit photographic images and can scan and improve the quality of older hard-copy photographs or copyright-approved images sourced from the internet.
Adobe Illustrator is also used to edit, redraw or artwork line and vector illustrations and figures.
Keying & file conversion
We are experienced in handling hard-copy manuscripts and can advise on options and costs for scanning and keying the text. When manuscripts require conversion from PDF, scanned text or alternative applications (e.g. Quark, 3B2, Telos, PageMaker) we can quote for handling this in-house or outsourcing to a trusted supplier.
ePub and eBook
We can produce both ePub and eBook formats, though due to wide-ranging external typesetting practices, we only offer this service for titles that we have typeset ourselves.
Self-publishing
At this time, we do not offer our services to self-publishing authors.

Our clients’ data is protected with both an encrypted mirrored on-site RAID backup and additional off-site data vaults. You can be certain that your jobs are protected should the worst happen.
